Yes! You'll receive my LYL Recipe Guides that include some of my go-to foods, meals and recipes with sample meal plans and grocery lists. I will also drop basic (but applicable) nutrition content in the app throughout the Reset. By the end of your Reset, you should have a good working knowledge of Macronutrients (Carbs, Proteins, Fats), how to determine the best way to eat for your body and goals, and feel very confident in your ability to make a meal plan and grocery list for yourself. For additional accountability, I highly recommend using the in-app food journal, and even sharing (and getting) ideas in the LYL community!
Do you provide any nutritional guidance?
Not exactly, and for a couple of reasons: 1) Everybody and every body is different. Your Basal Metabolic Rate, caloric/energy needs, schedule, stress levels, emotional state, sleeping patterns, etc. all play a part in your weight loss and fitness. Note: If you think you need a specific meal plan or diet, you should seek out the help of a personal dietician. 2) Following a restrictive cookie cutter meal plan may work for weight loss in the short term, but I'm willing to bet you'll find yourself indulging in all the foods you were missing while you were restricting, and soon be signing up for yet another diet/weight loss challenge. Let's break the cycle in 2024!
Is there a meal plan?
No. The workouts are all in the app, and you can login and complete your workout whenever it's convenient for you. Fit tip: I would suggest scheduling a specific hour each day to complete your workout. Make an appointment with yourself, and don't cancel! I know life happens, and sometimes we have to adjust our schedules, but it's time to make yourself and your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health a priority. FYI, as your coach, I can see when you complete your workouts. ;)
Are the workouts live?
These workouts are all at your own pace. You have the ability to slow down or pick up speed as you need to. Simple moves and basic movement patterns are all you need for a Reset, and that's what I'll be giving you here. If I think a move may need a modification (based on years of experience working with hundreds of people at all different fitness levels) I've made one available.
How hard or intense are the workouts?
Smart Phone, Exercise Mat, Light Dumbbells (3-5 lbs), Heavy Dumbbells (5-25 lbs)—or get yourself a set of adjustable dumbbells like this set, and a suspension trainer like this one.
What equipment will I need?
This is a group coaching program—so, no—I do not provide 1-on-1 coaching calls, custom workout plans, or custom nutrition plans. The app will guide your day-to-day workouts and habit tracking, and you'll receive my LYL Recipe Guides as well as basic (but applicable) nutrition information. This program was designed to facilitate personal growth. By completing your workouts and daily tasks/habits, you'll start trusting in yourself and building up your confidence. You'll start doing things for you...and not because a coach or trainer is making you. My goal is to build a community of women who will lean on and learn from each other as we work toward becoming better versions of ourselves. Our community forum (I will be very active here!) will be a great resource for asking questions and sharing experiences. You'll also be able to send me a direct message through the coaching app, and I will answer questions as quickly as I can.
